We met at the end of college one night when all of our mutual friends were hanging out at the Felton House in San Luis Obispo. We would occasionally cross paths during weekends back in SLO and other trips with friends. Years later, Alec was interviewing at a company in Huntington Beach and had asked Rachael to show him around Orange County. He accepted the job, moved down south, and our relationship grew from a friendship to more. Six years later, we've traveled the world together and grown stronger and more in love every day.
With the pandemic still going strong and travel limited, we decided to take our long vacation of the year to Arizona. We first traveled to Flagstaff and went hiking in the Grand Canyon. We then headed down to Sedona for the rest of the week. After hiking the famous Cathedral Rock, we decided to head over to a Courthouse Rock and go on another hike. Alec wanted to find a place with more views, and of course we were on the flattest trail. Eventually the trail opened up to this large domed rock. We climbed to the top and were surrounded by 360 degree views of Sedona and had the place to ourselves. After taking a bunch of pictures, Rachael was taking in the view and finally turned around to find Alec down on one knee. He said many wonderful things and Rachael confirmed the easiest decision of her life with a resounding YES.
We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
