Emily introduced us in late fall of 2016 at a Kappa Sig party. Tyler continued to bug Emily to have Carley over and hang out, but she slowly took her time! Come March, Carley needed a date to a Shamrock Date Function and Tyler took his chance to have Emily set us up! That night Tyler wore a Shamrock onesie and hooked Carley! The rest is history!

Right now Tyler and Carley live 5 and a half hours away from each other. Carley currently lives in Birmingham, AL with my parents, finishing up getting her MBA in Healthcare Management. Tyler lives in Valdosta, GA, where he is stationed on Moody Air Force Base. Currently, we see each other about once to twice a month, going back and forth between homes.

Complicated does not begin to describe our proposal. Tyler had 3 different sets of plans for proposing that were all failed due to the ring not being ready and then deploying to New Mexico the week before his last plan. With that being said, our proposal happened exactly as it should have with us. We went for a hike at Grand Bay in Valdosta and went up the lookout tower and sat at the setting points throughout the hike. Once we finally found a spot alone, where we did not have couples talking to us or loud people yelling, Tyler got down on his knee and asked Carley to spend forever with him! The easiest YES ever!
