There are lots of hiking options within the Charlottesville area! Whether you're a beginner or are seeking an advanced hike, we highly recommend hitting the trail and exploring the mountains of Virginia.
Virginia Wineries
One of our favorite activities to do in Virginia is explore the various vineyards! Veritas, Pippin Hill, Keswick Vineyards, and (of course) King Family Vineyard are just a few of our favorites!
Downtown Mall
Charlottesville's popular shops, restaurants and ambiance converge in one main area, known as the historic Downtown Mall. Located on Main Street, this thoroughfare is home to more than 120 shops, 30 restaurants (many with outdoor seating), art galleries, multiple performance venues and a Saturday farmers market.
Carter Mountain Orchard and Country Store
Fall is the best time to visit Carter Mountain Orchard! With apple-picking activities, sweeping views of Charlottesville, and homemade goods like apple cider donuts, it's fun for the whole family.
Monticello
Monticello was the primary residence of Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States, who began designing Monticello after inheriting land from his father at age 26. Tickets are available online to explore the grounds.
