Matron of Honor
Jai-Lyn is my sister. She is actually Justin's biological sister, but I have since stolen her away from him and now claim her as my own. Anytime we're together people question if we are sisters. YUP! LOL. She is, for sure, the little sister I've never had. Our chemistry is so amazing, you would think we really did grow up together. She gets me and I get her. We have a very similar sense of humor, which makes for very hilarious conversation. I can always rely on her to brighten my spirit and her pep talks are bomb! Jai's heart is pure and genuine. She wants nothing but to make and see people happy which is what I love most about her and why I need her holding me down during this journey and beyond!
Maid of Honor
Niesha has been my best friend for 16 years. She is literally the ying to my yang. We are complete opposites but we have so much in common and it just works! I love and admire how strong of a person she is. We have laughed, cried, argued, and argued some more lol. Regardless, she has always had my back whether she agrees or not. Niesha is my honest friend. I can always count on her for a honest opinion. She helps me look at situations from a different perspective. We have been on some wild and crazy adventures together. She is my partner in crime (not that we've ever committed a crime lol). We have been through so many milestones as friends, I can't imagine going on this journey without her by my side.
Bridesmaid
Tiffany is my cousin-friend lol. It's a relationship we established outside of being just family. Although we spent a lot of time together growing up, I truly cherish our relationship as adults. I can talk to Tiffany about anything, for hours...literally a whole work shift lol. Tiffanys work hard...play hard, mentality is what I love about her. When we're not venting to each other about various topics, we're traveling the world together. She may not be aware, but she exposed a part of myself that I wasn't fully aware of... and that is my passion for travel. Tiffany is one of my most supportive friends. I told her a couple years ago in Europe, that she was going to be in my wedding. I don't know if she thought I was lying, but I WASN'T lol.
Bridesmaid
Airis is another one of my cousin-friends lol. Growing up we only seen each other a few times a year, but in 2007 that all changed. Airis decided to join me at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. In college, we had full access to each other at any given moment and we grew so much closer. Airis is the most positive person I know. She has such a loving and kind spirit. She has always been there for me and ready to celebrate whenever the time came. I love her free spirit and willingness to have a good time no matter what she maybe going through personally. There is never a dull moment when we're together. She shows up for the people that she loves and that's why I love her!
Best Man
Mookie is my younger brother. Growing up I always felted compelled to watch over and protect him. It’s been amazing watching him grow into the man that he is today and take on the father role with ease. That’s one thing I admire about him. As his older brother I had to ensure that I was a great role model to him, and I love seeing the role model he’s becoming to his son.
Best Man
I’ve known Shafi since high school about 17 years now, and only blood could make us closer. As adults, we don’t talk as much as I’d like but when we do it’s like no time has passed. One thing that I respect most about Shafi is his perseverance. He pushes through any and everything. He’s basically my Tupac if I were Biggie. We’re so different but admire and respect those differences in one another. He always has my back so it just wouldn’t be right if he weren’t by my side on this day.
Best Man
I met Justin my freshman year at UMES. We were roommates and since then he’s become like a brother to me. He’s been one of Danyielle and I, biggest supporters from day one. Technically, we wouldn’t even be together if it weren’t for him. Thanks bro lol.
Best Man
I’ve known Byron basically since he was born. We grew up on the same block, living next door to each other. He is one of my great childhood friends and that hasn’t changed as adults. We’ve pretty much done everything together, from performing late night hits (bombs away and fire everywhere lol) to creating our own sports teams (shooting stars), Byron has been by my side through it all. In another life I’m positive we would’ve made it as rappers or owned our very own sweeping/shoveling brigade lol.
Best Man
I knew you were the right man for my sister the moment I told you to fill out a boyfriend application (with references) and you actually did it lol. You are an amazing father to my niece and nephew and a good friend to me. Oh and thank you for taking my sister off my hands lol.
Best Man
David is Danyielle’s twin brother. I’ve always known David to be hard working, which is something we have in common and also probably the reason why we don’t see each other often. But when we do, the drinks (Henny) are flowing and it’s always a good time.
Best Man
Terrell is Danyielle’s younger brother. He was really young when we first met. I remember back in the day, sleeping on his bedroom floor, we’d talk about everything from BB guns, to paint-balling, to video games. I’m almost certain that he approves of this union of his sister and I, solely because when he breaks his phone for the 27th time he’ll now be able to get the family discount lol.
