The first time I saw Liam I thought he was just a stranger that looked just like him. I hadn't seen Liam in person since we were 17 on a ferry back from Catalina. In college we stayed pen-pals but had since lost touch. The second time I saw him, I thought about how Liam was from Venice, but then again LA is a city of 3.849 million people, it couldn't possibly be him. By the third time I saw him, I hung up the phone, telling my friend "I gotta go" and then texted Liam. I watched him pull his phone out of his pocket. * I felt my phone buzz. I pulled it out of my pocket as to not drop my grocery bag. My heart skipped a beat, it was a text from Lauren– an old friend I forgot how much I missed. I replied quickly and we got to talking, there was a lot to catch up on. I asked where she lived and she typed out my own cross streets. My jaw dropped, in a city of 3.9 million people, she moved in less than a block away. The next night, we met down the street at the local wine bar, I sat down and realized the rest is history.
