Jake met Katie through AYSO soccer. For some reason the boys team played against the girls team and won by a lot(big surprise). Jake was very humble(no he wasn’t) and was making fun of Katie for losing. Katie reacted very appropriately by dumping her entire gallon sized ice water on the top of Jake’s head. This is where the love story began.

Jake and Katie became closer friends sophomore year of high school. They soon started dating and have been through many phases of life together. They spent time apart for two years while Jake went to school. Living 3 hours away, Jake would drive to Katie anytime he had a day off. The time they spent away made them cherish their time together.

Jake woke Katie up on the morning of October 8th with a puppy for an early birthday surprise. Katie ran out to their living room to see Moose, their yellow lab puppy, waiting for them! She was so happy to meet him, and when she looked down at his name tag she saw it said Will You Marry Me. Katie looked to Jake to see him on one knee next to her. There were tears and laughs but it was the easiest decision she’s ever made.
