From Tiktok to Testimony

What started with a simple scroll through a comment section in the summer of 2022 became the prologue to a divine appointment. On June 23, 2022, Azi spotted a beautiful soul in a mutual friend’s TikTok comments. With his signature "Donn" charisma and a long-range "shot" that didn’t miss, a connection was sparked that would change two lives forever. Throughout that summer, Azi and Nyasia became inseparable through conversation, building a foundation before their junior years began at Morehouse and Clark Atlanta. Their first in-person encounter was a test of service and timing; Azi stepped up to help a shy Nyasia move into her apartment, and from that moment, the vibes and attraction were undeniable. The journey reached a turning point during the spring break of their senior year. Azi brought Nyasia home to Syracuse to meet the Goodrich family, who immediately embraced the woman of God he had spoke so highly of for over a year. However, it was a quiet, sacred moment between Nyasia and Mama Akua that sealed the future. As Nyasia pulled holy oil from her bag and prayed over Azi’s mother, Azi received his confirmation: he was looking at his wife. After securing the blessings of Nyasia’s mother, April, and her family, Azi patiently held onto a ring for a month, waiting for the perfect moment. On August 15, 2025, surrounded by the Goodrich family, Nyasia’s mother and sister, and over 70 loved ones on Zoom, Azi dropped to one knee and Nyasia said "Yes." The following day, the couple were baptized together, surrendering their old lives and fully committing their path to the Lord. Just eight days later, moved by the Spirit and the Word in Mark 10:9—"Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate"—they realized they couldn't wait any longer. In the upper chapel of Archer Hall at Morehouse College, they exchanged vows in a ceremony ordained by Azi’s mentor, Uncle Van. Today, we gather to celebrate a union that was scripted in heaven and confirmed on earth. As Azi and Nyasia celebrate 11 months of marriage, they stand as a living testimony that when you keep God first and trust His timing, He will turn a digital encounter into a lifelong blessing. #GoodrichLoveStory
