Our Story

Match made in Tinder Heaven

Our incredibly romantic story begins with a little app called Tinder. Lucky for us, Toni expanded her settings to include youngin's only days before coming across Dylan's profile. We both swiped right based on our mutual good looks and sense of humor in our profile bio's. After a couple days texting, Dylan asked Toni to go out 'for a drink' which is code for a quick face to face meeting (and the sly ability to cut it short if we weren't vibing). After 3 hours at the sports bar, we said "see ya later". It took a whopping 10 minutes after that date for Toni to invite him to a home-cooked dinner the next day. We were inseparable from that point on. Dylan met Toni's mother 3 days after that first date. He was sweaty the entire 3 hour car ride in anticipation (or fear, not sure). We also spent our first couple weeks at the College World Series in Omaha, NE and were able to explore our fun-loving, goofy, adventurous sides in a true "summer love" kind of perfect. We officially became a couple June 22, 2017 (we think). Within weeks of meeting, we were seriously discussing marriage and knew this was the real deal. We convinced ourselves we were crazy for wanting to tie the knot so soon and decided that we needed to wait a while (Dylan. Dylan decided that). We moved in together after a month and Dylan now knows what decorative towels are. Toni bought her wedding dress before she was "Facebook Official"ly engaged. We love our sweet poodle Boston and Dylan gives him the manly foo-foo haircut. We are now happy to announce that we have waited a socially acceptable amount of time to be legally bound, and that it's time to get this show on the road! In all seriousness, we couldn't be more happy that we will finally be married. Dylan tones down her crazy and reminds Toni to have fun. Toni reminds Dylan that great things can be accomplished when working together. Oh, and to put the toilet seat down. She reminds him of that too.

The Proposal

August 27, 2019

As time continued in our relationship, we knew more and more that this was right. Eventually, in true Toni fashion, Dylan started getting Pinterest proposal ideas and Facebook proposal stories sent to his inbox. In true Dylan fashion, he ignored all of them until we had been dating for 2+ years. Dylan knew he wanted to incorporate Boston into the proposal and enlisted the help of his brother and dad to help pop the question. Dylan's brother made a wooden sign to hang around Boston's neck that reads 'Will you marry my daddy?' and used his father to create a distraction. In order to lure Toni outside, Dylan asked his dad to scare her by coming in the house and saying that something is wrong with Boston outside by the garage. Toni threw shoes on and ran outside, only to see a very peppy Boston in the distance. When Toni rounded the corner, she was able to read the sign around his neck. She then saw Dylan a couple steps further back, kneeling on one knee with a small box in his hand. She said yes, they cried and grinned like idiots all night, and now they're excitedly planning their next steps. Dylan knocked this one out of the park and made Toni a VERY happy girl. Toni was aware of the ring style beforehand (she picked it out, duh). The ring is a gorgeous 1 ct center stone and is cut perfectly. The center stone is mounted on a single diamond band. The sparkle of the ring is unreal. Toni may or may not have trouble focusing at work now because she admires it so often.
