After nearly 6 years of living in Houston, Will made the jump and moved to the Greenville, SC area in December 2022 to be closer to family. A few months later, at the behest of her friends, Anna reluctantly decided to give dating apps another try (had tried them previously in 2021 and wasn't impressed) and downloaded Coffee Meets Bagel (yes, that’s a real dating app, not just Will’s breakfast order). After a few weeks of not-so-awesome matches, she decided to focus her energies on other areas of her life and leave it in God’s hands to drop the right man at the right time into her life. As she logged into to delete the app, she noticed that a cute-ish guy with a very decent profile had liked her, so she decided to like him back. The conversation began the next morning, and it hasn’t stopped since. On May 10, 2023, I asked Anna to be my girlfriend, and she said yes! As we have spent time getting to know one another, we have discovered with excitement and joy many small things about the other that are direct answers to prayers we have prayed for years. This not only includes specific character traits and qualities that we have been looking for in a spouse, but also quirks and peculiarities that we find interesting and attractive! Early on, we both knew that each was the one that God had for the other. Our story is one that only God could have written. February 10, 2024, marked our 9-month anniversary. To celebrate, I took Anna on a scavenger hunt across town to 9 different spots that held significance in our relationship. At each spot, a letter was read reminiscing over the fond memories made there. For the final spot, we went the park in Woodruff, SC where we went on our 3rd date. During that date, we sat together on a park bench and realized that this had the potential to be a serious relationship. It was on this same park bench that I read the final letter to Anna and proposed to her! This July 27th, our story continues as we become husband and wife. We are excited to see what else the Lord has written in our story as we start our life together! We hope that you can be a part of our special day. See you there!
