We are so excited to be getting married on our 5 year (dating) anniversary!! Once we realized our 5 year anniversary fell on a Friday, we couldn’t pass up the chance to celebrate by making things legal! Thank you for making the extra efforts to celebrate us on a Friday evening. We recognize many people are adjusting their work schedules and expending extra money in this tight economy to travel to join us. We are so beyond grateful for all of you!!

Austin and Kiersten met when Austin’s brother, Biz, and sister-in-law, Kiley, attempted to set the two up back in February 2020 on a night out in OTR. Austin and Kiersten have different perspectives on this interaction. If you ask Austin – Kiersten was cute but clearly not interested and standoffish from the start (even when he tried to complement her beloved dog). If you ask Kiersten, she says she was too focused on law school and living her best life as a 20 something year old in a new city to think about dating and that it was nothing personal. Definitely not love at first sight. In late September 2020, Kiersten put together a birthday party for her friend, Cole, at Braxton Brewery. Austin happened to be visiting Biz this weekend and tagged along to the party. Austin states that at this point he had long given up on trying to impress Kiersten and was just making jokes with his brother and enjoying the get together. It was during Cole’s birthday party that Kiersten realized Austin was funny and thought the two may actually get along pretty well. In the car home from the party Kiersten asked her friend, Paige, if she should give Austin her number or not. Paige loudly told Kiersten she would be dumb not to give her number to him. That was all Kiersten needed to hear to (finally) give Kiley the green light to give Austin her cell phone number. On October 6, 2020, Austin and Kiersten went on their first date to Mio’s Pizzeria in Clifton. Quickly the two realized there was something special between them as neither were big "relationship people," and even with the distance barrier, the two still wanted to see each other nonstop. Shortly afterwards they made the crazy decision to be in a long distance relationship traveling the 4 hours bi-weekly between Knoxville, Tennessee where Austin lived and Cincinnati, Ohio where Kiersten lived. This lasted for just under 2 years before Austin moved to Cincinnati to be with Kiersten. The rest is history!
