Sometimes, growing up in a small town means you know your person long before anything happens, and that's how our story began. Sierra first noticed Colby riding his dirt bike at Glen Helen. She had a crush on him but knew she'd be playing the long game. She was twelve. A decade later, every Tuesday night we played softball and Sierra hated every second of it. And every Tuesday night Colby would hear from the rest of the team he was stupid for not asking Sierra out. The entire season went on and we didn't win a single game! Little did Sierra know Colby had also been admiring her but was trying to play his "long game." However his long game lasted a week after softball ended and he wanted to see Sierra so he FINALLY asked her on a hike. It was a random Tuesday afternoon and I was in the bubble bath with a glass of red wine due to the worst foot pain ever. Colby had been losing sleep and couldn't eat due to nerves and asked me to go on a walk with him. Unfortunately I told him no because my foot hurt so bad. He frantically asked if I would go on a bike ride then and I agreed to that. We took off on our ride like we always do towards the east end. I knew the second we left the house something was up. Colby, the romantic, had our favorite country music songs playing and a white claw in his water holder instead of a water. I tried to play cool and acted like I didn't notice. How could he surprise me anyway? I thought I knew everything! We rode down our favorite road in Ojai - Fordyce Road, we always say if we ever won the lottery we would buy a house on this road. Colby asked if I wanted to stop in the orange orchard and watch the sunset real quick. He could barely even put his bike down before he was on his knee asking me to become his WIFE!
