In February 2016 we met on a night out with friends. We both rather stay home that night, but our friends convinced us to go out! Good thing they did because we met later that evening. It turned out that we had multiple mutual friends and grew up around the same area, but our paths never crossed until then!

Cameron planned an outing in College Station the day after Christmas in 2020. We were going to have dinner and drinks in one of our favorite towns! After a few drinks, Cameron suggested we should walk on campus and enjoy the weather. He led me to the Century Tree, is a 100 year old oak tree in the middle of campus, where he got down on one knee and proposed (Tradition says that if a couple walks together underneath the Century Tree, they will eventually marry- and if a marriage proposal takes place under the tree, the marriage will last forever)! The best part was that he had our families waiting for us there too! It was so special to us to get engaged in Aggieland!
