FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception dress code is Black Tie optional (but encouraged!). We ask that men wear a tuxedo or suit and tie. Alternatively, an evening gown or a midi- or knee-length cocktail dress would be appropriate for women. Denim of any kind is not permitted in the Country Club of North Carolina clubhouse - thank you for understanding.

Question

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

The Catholic Mass and Ceremony will be inside, as well as the reception celebration. Weather permitting, we will have the option of seating outside during the cocktail hour (outdoor heaters will be provided)! The weather in late December in Pinehurst is unpredictable, so come prepared with layers and double-check the weather as you are packing!

Question

Where should I park for the Ceremony?

Answer

Sacred Heart Catholic Church has a parking lot directly in front of the church with ample parking available.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 20-30 minutes before the ceremony so you can be seated in a timely manner.

Question

How long will the ceremony last?

Answer

Our ceremony will be a traditional Catholic Mass Wedding Ceremony that will last roughly one hour. Following the ceremony, we invite guests to make their way to the reception venue for cocktail hour to enjoy beverages and small bites prior to the reception!

Question

Where should I park for the Reception?

Answer

The Country Club of North Carolina is a gated community, and you will be asked by the security guard your reason for entry. Please state that you are with the Barie/ Gavin wedding and they will provide directions upon entry. There will be the option to valet or self-park once you arrive at the main clubhouse - please follow signage.

Question

Can I bring a date or my children?

Answer

Unless stated on your invitation, we unfortunately cannot accept any additional people that have not been formally invited. We ask that you please pay close attention to your invitation and your RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

We plan on having an entree choice that's gluten and nut-free to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions. Our cocktail hour appetizers will also all be clearly marked if they are allergy friendly (and there will be multiple allergy-friendly options). If you have additional restrictions that go beyond what we've listed here, please let us know in the designated section of your digital RSVP. We want you to feel comfortable and well fed!

Question

Are there any post-wedding activities planned?

Answer

Of course! Instead of an after-party following the reception, we invite all of our guests to the New Years Eve Send Off celebration on Thursday, December 31st to ring in the New Year of 2027! Please refer to the wedding invitation, or the schedule tab of our website for additional details.

Question

Is there a dress code for the New Years Eve Sendoff?

Answer

The dress code for the New Years Eve sendoff is Festive Cocktail attire. We ask you to come in your New Years Eve best! For ladies this could be midi-length dresses with heels, and for men this could be suits with ties. The more feathers, fringe, and sequins, the better!

Question

Where should I park for the New Years Eve Send Off?

Answer

New Years Eve Send Off event parking will be available at Golf House Pinehurst, which is located at 3 Carolina Vista Drive, Pinehurst, NC 28374. This parking lot serves as the parking lot for the World Golf Hall of Fame. Once parked, we ask that you follow signage to the main doors of the World Golf Hall of Fame!

Question

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I'm in town for your wedding?

Answer

We would be happy to! Please check out the "Things to Do" section of our website to see some of our favorite spots to eat, drink and explore in the area!
