It's a celebration

February 14, 2025 - The Day of Love, Celebrating 6 Years of Civil Marriage On this special day, filled with love and friendship, we are overjoyed to celebrate our marriage as we take the next step in our faith—being united under God. We are deeply thankful for your presence in our lives and for celebrating this joyful occasion with us. Our Story We met at Sam Houston State University at The Jolly Fox (IYKYK), but our story began long before that. We are soulmates who found each other quickly in this life, destined to be together. There are old tales of people fated for each other from birth, and living through our eyes, there's no doubt our love was meant to be. We both grew up in the same town, no more than five miles apart, with similar interests and even overlapping social circles. But God brought us together when He knew we were ready to embrace the challenge of forever. A perfect match is made from imperfect pieces, and from the moment we met, it felt like we had known each other for lifetimes. Our first time hanging out, we got kicked out of the library because we couldn’t stop laughing. We created stories about book projects that didn’t exist just to spend time together every Monday night at the SHSU Library. Within a few weeks, we told each other "I love you" for the first time, and from that moment, we’ve always been in each other’s lives. Things moved quickly from there. We graduated in the coming months, and as Gabby approached her graduation, we discovered we were expecting our first child. God’s plan is always greater, and we rejoiced in the blessing of becoming parents, despite the challenges of being young. Our happiest moments were in that one-bedroom apartment with our baby girl Rosalie and our love. At the time, we didn’t have it all together, but together, we had it all. With a strong belief in each other, we knew there was nothing we couldn’t accomplish. We purchased a house and made it our home, and soon after, we learned that another baby girl was on the way. We could recount all the dragons we’ve slayed and the towers we’ve climbed, but today is about celebrating our love—a love that has overcome every obstacle in our path. As we approach 6 years of marriage, we are excited to share this special moment with our daughters, who are now old enough to create lasting memories with us. As we unite under God and take the next step in our journey, we thank you for being a part of our lives and for joining us on this most wonderful day.
