Jessica: The COVID-19 pandemic brought forth a lot of change, but the best change that happened to me was meeting my future husband, Eduardo Jose. It was May 30th, 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, when I sat across from Eddie at Carolina Ale House. The restaurant might have been empty but our conversations were full of past experiences, embarrassing stories, our love for our families, and shared values. From that moment forward, I was captivated by Eddie's warm heart and the infectious glow of his loving smile. Have you ever had that funny feeling that you might’ve met the one? Well that was the feeling I had, and I get that feeling every time I think about how lucky I am to choose Eddie everyday. Through challenges and celebrations, Eddie has been my rock, constantly lifting me up and cherishing our love. I can only express gratitude as I try to put into words our journey and our love. Eduardo: How can I follow up the lovely words my future wife just expressed about us? I was never much of a writer but I’ll start by saying this, behind every great man is a great woman who pushes him every day and Jessica pushes me everyday to achieve greatness. Early on in our relationship I knew the type of person I was getting to know was one of kindness, empathy, and drive. What I love most about Jess though, is how genuine she is. She’s never afraid to be her authentic self. From the moment I met her at Carolina Ale House I knew I needed to see her again. While the pandemic was just reaching its peak, I tried figuring out ways to get together with Jess. Whether it be going out to dinner, grabbing a coffee, or even going for a walk at the park, I was willing to do anything to get to know her more. The more and more I got to know Jess, the more I knew she was going to be my future wife. Together: We cannot wait to perform the sacrament of marriage in front of our most loved family and friends. It is you all that have shaped us to be the individuals we are today. So let’s get ready to fill October 19, 2024 with love and happiness as we attempt to recreate the feelings we had sitting across from each other at Carolina Ale House.
