Question

What do I need to travel to Ireland and Northern Ireland?

Answer

A valid passport is required to enter Ireland. While there are no formal immigration checks when crossing the land border U.S. citizens should also apply for a UK ETA before traveling into Northern Ireland. Apply here: https://www.gov.uk/eta/apply.

Most direct flights arrive in Dublin, though Belfast is also an option. We’ll be flying into Dublin ourselves.
