first, we would like to thank Hinge for bringing us together ! after two days of heavy flirting, alondra asked kat to get drinks at rodeo goat. kat hid her veganism, alondra hid her music taste (IYKYK). we were pretty much inseparable from that day on- friends and family will attest to this fact, as will U-Haul. many road trips, concerts, dog adoptions, nights out (and nights in) later, alondra proposed! so here we are now :) we can’t wait to celebrate our love and future with all of you

Kat didn’t tell Alondra that she was vegan and of course we ended up going to RODEO GOAT. *Kat interjecting here* - they had vegan burgers, I checked. We both ended up getting fries and nasty cocktails while our waitress asked if we were even going to eat our food. With the restaurant closing soon and neither one of us ready to end the date, we sat on my trucks tailgate and chitchatted for hours.

After a whole month of planning and secret keeping, it was finally time! We started the day with our 3rd annual Vegandale trip. As we were about to leave to Dallas, our photographer cancelled! ACT NORMAL! Alas, the show must go on. Having to keep my cool, think of a backup plan AND deal with DFW drivers?! Wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. Thankfully, our photographer helped me find another photographer. I had told Kat for the last month that I wanted to have a picnic & she conveniently said we could go on one after Vegandale 🤭 We picked up some roses and some wine and sat together at the park. We played one of our favorite games called “Talking Hearts”. A couple cards in, I pulled the card that I had made that said “Stand up and hug your partner and take a deep breath” We stood up. We hugged. and then nervously, I got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with me.
