Like many modern love stories, ours started with a simple swipe on a dating app. We were both students at the time, both a little broke, and neither of us really thought the stranger on the other side of the screen would end up being the person we spent the rest of our lives with. For our first date, I (Sierra) cooked dinner - not because it was cute and romantic, but because a eating out wasn't exactly in the budget for two full time students without a dime to either of their names. Somehow, that made it even more perfect. From the moment we met, something felt different. After Noah went home that night, we Facetimed all night long. We shared funny stories, talked about our childhoods, and our goals for the future. That was the first of many calls. We never really stopped talking after that. On December 28th, 2021, Noah asked me to be his girlfriend, and We made it official. I never thought that just a couple years later she would be saying "Yes!" to him again, only this time to be his wife. A little over a year into our relationship, we found something even deeper together - Jesus. A friend of our invited us to church and we started going with her regularly. After a few months of attending church together, we got baptized together. That was a moment that completely changed our relationship and the path that we were walking together. Two and a half years after meeting, Noah and I traveled to Washington, D.C., After a full day of activities, we ended the day by going to a botanical garden. Noah had his stepmom distract me while he scattered rose petals all over the ground. There, Noah asked me the easiest question I've ever answered. Now, we're stepping into forever with full hearts, grateful for every moment that has brought us to this one.
