Saratoga Race Course
If you’ve never been to the track in August… this is your sign. Think sundresses, big hats, linen fits, and cheering for a horse you picked purely based on its name. It’s classic Saratoga and absolutely worth the experience.
Saratoga National Historical Park (Battlefield)
Take a walk (or a drive) through the site of the turning point of the Revolutionary War. Even if you’re not a history buff, the views are beautiful and it’s a peaceful way to spend a morning.
Saratoga Spa State Park
An easy way to get outside for a bit – with scenic trails, picnic spots, and the famous mineral springs. Perfect for a relaxed walk or bike ride before the festivities. And if golf is more your speed, there’s a course right there too.
Saratoga Tea & Honey Company
An old staple of Amanda’s and always worth a stop. Go for the matcha (with water – trust) and whatever honey of the week they’re mixing in. It’s a quick, easy downtown stop and the perfect little refresher while wandering.
Druthers Brewing Company
Casual, good food, good beer, and easy for groups. Great if you’re looking for something laid-back and not racetrack fancy – and yes, get the beer cheese dip.
Downtown Saratoga Springs
Broadway is the heart of downtown – boutique shops, coffee stops, bars, patios, and plenty of good people-watching. Spend an afternoon wandering, grab a drink, and enjoy the weekend atmosphere.
Adirondack Mountains
If you’re making a full weekend of it, there are plenty of nearby lakes and mountain towns perfect for an easy scenic day trip. Think clear water, boat rentals, lakeside restaurants, and classic Adirondack views – peak upstate summer.
