I graduated from Coopersville High School with Megan. I have known Megan since our freshman year of high school where we became fast friends. We went to many high school dances had countless sleep overs & movie nights where we stayed up all night eating junk food, taking selfies, & talking about boys (especially Colt!) I remember when her & Colt first started talking & I knew then that she was hooked. We stayed close through the college years by me making weekend visits to her at Central, her transferring to Grand Valley (Go Lakers!) & going on spring break trips to Florida and lots of other shenanigans in between. I am excited for Megan & Colt as they begin this next chapter of their life together, & cannot wait to see where it takes them. And wherever that may be, I cannot wait to visit!

When I walked into a creative writing class my sophomore year of high school, I had no idea that my life was about to turn for the better. That day, I met a Rumpelstiltskin loving, Pride & Prejudice quoting, fellow library groupie who I am blessed to still call a great friend 8 years later. It’s probably cliche to say that “all of my memories with Megan are my favorite memories” but it’s the truth. Every time I’m with Megan I do something socially awkward, & laugh wholeheartedly. If I had to choose one memory, it would be the time Megan, Kristin & I went on our first camping trip & we sat around the campfire making up a story & laughed until we were literally crying. Megan can always make me laugh, she challenges me, and she encourages me, she is a truly wonderful friend.

Kristin and Megan have been friends since Kindergarten. Kristin likes spending time with her family and friends, camping, and playing sports. Her favorite memory with Megan is hard to choose because there are so many good ones. One of the best is making up weird stories and things with her and Mikayla Smith. Kristin is excited to make more memories with Megan and Colt.

The friendship between Colt and Nelly began essentially when Nelly became acquainted with the Stubbs family 4ish years ago through elder sister Tyler. The two have always created space for one anothers intellectual growth. Through conversations and shared adventures, Nelly has come to admire and appreciate the human Colt is, and the values he represents. While sometimes challenging, as any organic growth is, the connection between the two has been rooted in authenticity, respect, and Thailand. Megan seems to have appeared out of no where in Nellys life. Maybe the friendship first began as Nelly biked downtown passing Megan multiple times while she waited for the bus. There is a sincerity to Megan that is inspiring,and the friendship has been growing ever since.
