Our Wedding Day Wish

V . II . MMXX

We are overjoyed that the time has finally arrived when we become Mr. and Mrs. If you are reading this, we welcome you with the kindest regards and are SO THANKFUL that you want to be a part of our day. There is nothing more exciting than knowing we will be spending our first evening as husband and wife with the family and friends we care so very much about. We ask that you please go through this webpage we have taken the time to create in order to get all the important details. A lot changes in a year, even more changes in a decade. 10 years later and we will finally be sharing a last name! Our wish is that you know, if we invited you to be a part of our wedding day, we truly hope that you come. You have shared laughter, tears, struggles and accomplishments with us; all which lead up to this day, and without our family and friends we know our journey here would not have been as memorable. You all hold a special place in our hearts and we could not imagine taking this next step without one of you there. So please, join us on May 2nd - to toast for becoming one an exciting future ahead!

How We Met

V . II . MMXX

Good ol' Coshocton High School. We were essentially the best of friends. We did everything together. I wore his jersey for every football game. We texted non-stop and even wrote letters in class. We hung out pretty much everyday, whether it was at track practice, my house, his house, a friends house or even the good ol' walmart parking lot. Well, in the 8th grade, he got the nerve to ask me to be his girlfriend. Believe it or not, I said no. But he didn’t stop trying. I always knew I had a crush on him, but I was convinced that we were just best friends. Fast forward, TWO YEARS later, sophomores in high school, I was still convinced that we were just best friends and nothing more. Even though, everyone always joked that we would get married someday ... we would just laugh. Well sure enough, later that year, he tried again .. as he got out of my car one evening after a typical ice cream date, he turned around, looked at me and said “will you just be my girlfriend already, you ARE my best friend, but my best friend I don’t ever want to do life without”. at that moment, this guy stole my heart!! From high school sweethearts, to a 5 year long distance relationship in college, to now living under the same roof. We have been through it all and we both wouldn't trade it for the world.

The Proposal

V . II . MMXX

I had no clue, November 23, 2018, would hold such a special place in our hearts, but it forever will. Thanksgiving week, my sister, niece and nephew came down to North Carolina to spend Thanksgiving with us. We planned to have Thanksgiving dinner at my moms house on Thanksgiving Day and then spend the day in Cherokee, NC the day after. The morning of November 23, 2018, my sister asked me if I would take some fall pictures of my niece and of course I said yes. So we drive to Cherokee, NC to this bamboo forest / park area to what I thought was going to be a photoshoot of my niece. Little did I know, my sister and Zack had a trick up their sleeves. We walked around the park and through the bamboo forest, took some pictures and then deiced it was time to leave cause it was just a liittttlee chilly. So as we headed back towards the car, crossed over this old wooden, rustic bridge, with a creak running underneath. As we started across the bridge, music started playing. I thought nothing of it. I thought it was a car passing by, blaring their music. But I soon realized, it was Zack and I's favorite song -- Change Your Name by Chase Rice. So I started singing it, thinking nothing of it. Until I actually thought to myself, "what is the coincidence our favorite song would be playing on this random bridge we have never been to before". I was then so confused. Zack then stopped and said hold on I have to tie my shoe.. okay, got it. Meanwhile, I am looking around trying to figure out where this music is coming from to then turn back around to Zack on one knee. Smiling from ear to ear, face beat red and all. He looks me in the eyes, lost for words and just says "will you marry me or what?". obviously, it was the easiest decision I have ever made in my life!!
