We first met in a small 6th-grade classroom in 2015. Little did we know then that we would one day commit to spending the rest of our lives together. Grace still remembers the day she saw Christian’s 8th grade yearbook note saying he wanted four kids and a family, and thinking to herself, “What are the chances we end up together?” Christian still remembers their first year of high school, when Grace’s brother asked if he was going to ask Grace to homecoming — only for him to end up a couple of years later asking her mom for permission to date Grace. We both went on to attend West Lutheran High School, where our friendship continued to grow. Through all the ups and downs of high school, we were always there for each other. During COVID, we spent most of our days together driving around, going on hikes, playing sports, and making memories. Most nights were spent talking for hours about family, sports, pets, faith, and just about everything else imaginable. That summer, we truly became best friends, and on June 16, 2021, we officially started dating. From that point on, we started doing everything we could to support and care for one another. One of our favorite parts of being high school sweethearts has been getting to watch each other grow through every season of life. Walking through life’s ups and downs together — while keeping God at the center of it all — has been our greatest blessing. We are so excited to begin this next chapter together and cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
