Taylor and Amelia met each other on Hinge (an online dating app) in July 2021. Our first date was at the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla where we talked all night and had a couple glasses of wine. After about 2 months of seeing if we liked each other, Taylor took Amelia back to La Jolla for a date night. We grabbed drinks back at the La Valencia Hotel and after grabbed dinner around the corner. Taylor asked Amelia to be his girlfriend this day! Taylor surprised Amelia with a day filled of our most sentimental places... We started out by getting our nails done then heading to Hanna's Gourmet for brunch. This is our favorite brunch place with the best focaccia bread sandwiches. We came here for the first time after we went ring shopping and fell in love with it. After, we went to La Jolla Shores and walked around until going to back to the La Valencia Hotel to grab a glass of wine. After grabbing some wine we went across the street to Beeside Balcony to grab some appetizers and another drink. We had been to Beeside Balcony in Del Mar for a date night during our first year dating. After eating, we made our way to the Torrey Pines Glider Port, which looks over the ocean, to watch the sunset. We had our second date watching the sunset here and this is where Taylor surprised Amelia and proposed! He got a professional photographer to capture the moment and it was perfect. We can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together!
