How We Met

Summer 2019

Lizzie and AB were both casted in the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat: Lizzie as the Narrator and AB as Levi and the condemned Baker. During a blocking rehearsal, Lizzie was directed to walk towards AB; he looked into her eyes, and with the most Joey Tribianni swag she had ever seen, he whispered, "How you doinn?" She, of course, rolled her eyes and walked away. From that day on, he continued to pursue her with intentionality, care, and so many fun adventures while she instantly connected with his heart, humor, and incredible voice. They had one month to make the most of their "fun but not going to last" relationship, all while both secretly wished it could be forever. Then the Lord, always giving more than we can ask or imagine, brought them back together, and they knew this was just the beginning of forever.

The Proposal

July 2021

Lizzie had told AB that the only thing she wanted was for it to be documented well and that her friends were there. During a trip to Florida, AB was insistent that they go visit his friend Sammy, and Lizzie was really obstinate to take the extra trip. After much convincing, she agreed, and they set off to south Florida. AB had said they were going to have dinner on the pier after a beach day, but the weather was rainy, so instead they shopped. Lizzie, not wanting to waste a cute outfit, asked if they should still change for the dinner, and AB totally agreed. They walked towards the pier, and Lizzie had a no idea what was about to happen (she had stopped guessing because she had been wrong 3 times at this point). Reaching the end of the pier, AB told her to stop so he could take a picture. Fireworks surround the sky; it was the day before July 4th and the festivities had started! He told her to look to her right and when she did, she saw some of her closest friends walking up. She instantly knew what was about to happen and when she turned to look at AB, he was already down on one knee, smiling and nervous. All he could say was, "Lizzie - will you marry me?" followed by a "Don't leave me hanging," since Lizzie had completely lost all her vocabulary. She said a resounding, "YES!" and then saw the ring: a family heirloom that belonged to her great grandmother Mimi. She was floored - it was more than she could have asked or imagined. Not only was the ring perfect, her friends surrounded her, beaming with excitement, and AB had organized a Facebook Live for everyone to watch. Lizzie wasn't expecting it at all, and her favorite part was that AB planned it all and granted every wish she had, but in his own special way.

Our Wedding

March 20, 2022

We are excited to have our closest family and friends surround us on our special day. We truly believe that we are the people we are due to the family and friendships the Lord has placed in our lives to shape us, and that makes us so proud. We cannot wait to honor that as we start a new family, surrounded by those we love!
