Q+A

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal. Suits and cocktail dresses are perfect but for those looking for an excuse to dress up, tuxes and gowns are also welcome! Both the ceremony and the reception are indoors.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask for guests to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Please give yourself ample time to get the ceremony as there can be traffic on the weekends and Salem is a big fall hot spot.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Because we want to keep this an intimate event with our nearest and dearest, those listed on the invitation are the people invited. If you received a plus one, it will be listed on the formal invitation and on the RSVP.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, we have decided to make this an adult only event except for those who share a special part in our big day. Please use this night as a fun date night!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, drinks are on the bride and groom as long as you're on the dance floor! Cheers!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a free lot at the church for those who will be driving. There are metered street spots and 2 big public lots near Olio, our reception venue. We will keep this updated as the wedding gets closer if things change!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

For those staying at our room block at the Hampton Inn Peabody/Boston, there will be a shuttle bus that will take you from the hotel to the church, church to the reception, and then from the reception back to the hotel at the end of the night. If you are RSVPing online, there will be a place to indicate if you plan on utilizing the shuttle or not. If you have any questions, please reach out to the bride or groom!

Question

Do you have a room block?

Answer

Yes, our room block will be at the Hampton Inn Peabody/Boston. Please check out our travel section for more details.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We appreciate your enthusiasm, but we would like our ceremony to be an unplugged, phone free event. We are so fortunate to have our wonderful photographer, Lauren, and videographers, Haley and Danny, to capture the special moments of our big day! You are more than welcome to start taking personal photos once the reception starts.
