Dinning at The Ironworks

Dining options on the Ironworks property include some of the best restaurants in Indy. Restaurant and bar choices include farm to table brunch, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, and a large, family friendly taproom. Our favorites are Verde and Rize.

Staying North of Indianapolis

If you are planning on a hotel or short-term rental in the suburbs north of Indy, we recommend the Cities of Carmel and Westfield. City of Carmel - Suburb directly north of Indianapolis. Carmel is about 13 miles wide, as is Westfield, so aim for something near State Rt 31 or west of 31. City of Westfield - Suburb north of Carmel and Indianapolis. Our home is near Union Street and State Routes 31 and 32. The venue is about 30 minutes to the southwest from our home on US Rt 465. The Ironworks and Keystone Crossings are about 15 minutes to the south of our neighborhood on Rt 31.

Indy Neighborhoods

Want a more urban experience? Here are some fun downtown neighborhoods we love. DOWNTOWN - The area north of Lucas Oil Stadium, south of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at the heart of Downtown, spanning west to the White River, and east to City Market is packed full of history, sports, museums, shopping, and nightlife. MASS AVE - Just northeast of Downtown, Massachusetts Avenue is one of Indy's most vibrant neighborhoods and by far our favorite. You'll find the coolest restaurants, socially conscious boutiques, cocktail culture, vintage everything, and nightlife here. THE BOTTLEWORKS DISTRICT - Be sure to check out the beautiful architecture of the Coca-Cola Bottleworks building at the north end of Mass Ave. Originally the Coca-Cola bottling factory offices, the Bottleworks has been restored to its former Art Deco glory, along with the surrounding neighborhood. This is our favorite staycation pad, only rivaled by The Ironworks. FOUNTAIN SQUARE - Southeast of Downtown, you may be familiar with this neighborhood. Fountain Square, Bates-Hendricks, and Old Southside neighborhoods are experiencing a "renaissance," thanks to HGTV's "Good Bones'. The hosts, owners of Two Chicks and a Hammer, list a number of their renovated properties as short term rentals.
