Not long after, they discovered a shared love of cider mills, and on October 12, 2023, Nathan officially asked Julia to be his girlfriend. Since the very beginning, Julia and Nathan have filled their days with adventure. Julia may have “encouraged” Nathan into Jeep rides at first, but those drives soon turned into countless off-road adventures, camping trips, kayaking outings, and hikes. As their relationship grew, so did the life they were building together. In January 2025, they purchased their first home, creating a place to call their own and a foundation for the future they envisioned together. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan quickly became their favorite escape—a place filled with trails, lakes, and memories that captured their hearts. It felt only fitting to choose it as the place where they would exchange vows. On October 3, 2026, Julia and Nathan will say “I do” surrounded by their closest family. Nathan’s proposal was as thoughtful as it was unique. On August 17, 2025, in a cozy Ann Arbor bar, with The Beatles playing in the background—Julia’s favorite band—Nathan got down on one knee beneath a ceiling where he had secretly written the words, “Will you marry me?” It was simple, heartfelt, and perfectly them. What began with a bowling date and a movie has grown into a life filled with adventure, laughter, and a love story they can’t wait to continue writing together.
