The Sanctuary Hotel at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort offers deluxe accommodations, spa, resort pool and beach access, preferred reservations for dining, tennis and golf discounts as well as complimentary on-island transportation, and much more. Guests who wish to book should call the number provided, ask for The Sanctuary Reservations, and mention the Byars/Moon wedding to receive a discounted rate.

Flight

Charleston International Airport

Kiawah Island is 33 miles from the Charleston airport and is about a 45 minute drive. Usually there is no issue using a ride-hailing app to get from the airport out to the island or car rentals can be picked up from the airport. We would highly recommend renting a car if you are not staying at the resort as Uber/Lyft is not available on the island itself. The second half of the drive to Kiawah is beautiful if you arrive while it is light out! Lots of live oak trees and Spanish moss (We recommend checking out the Angel Oak tree on the way in if you are renting a car!). If you are staying at The Sanctuary Resort or book a villa through Kiawah Island Golf Resort, you can also arrange transportation to and from the airport through the concierge.

Shuttle

On Island Shuttle Transportation

843-768-2900 Once on the island, guests have access to the complimentary Kiawah Island shuttles if staying at the resort (villa/home rentals or The Sanctuary), which can take you to and from any location on the island (including Mingo Point). Call number above and the shuttle will pick you up within ~15 minutes of your call. General shuttle times around the resort are from 7am -11pm.
