Let's call it "beach formal". Our ceremony will be on the beach at sunset, followed by an outdoor reception in the fortress. You'd be over-dressed in a gown or tuxedo and under-dressed in shorts and a polo. Guests are encouraged to consider the elements - sun, sand, and water - and plan shoes accordingly (e.g. flats, sandals and wedges). Although its Florida, it can get chilly when the sun sets so consider bringing a jacket or wrap to stay comfortable.
Yes! Please meet at Margaritaville (500 Duval Street) by 3:45 p.m. to hitch a ride over to Fort Zach on the Conch Train. The train will loop back around for any guests still finishing their margaritas. Last chance to catch the train is 4:30 p.m.!
If you miss the shuttle, feel free to grab an Uber or Lyft and let them know at the main park gate that you're being dropped off for the Lean/McCorkle Wedding. The entrance fee will already be paid and they can give you directions to "The Point".
It's getting chilly around the world, but you can expect warm temperatures in Key West. During the winter months, it rarely rains so you'll typically enjoy sunny skies and warm, but pleasant temperatures. It's not uncommon to see periodic temperatures in the low 80's in December, but the average high is 76° F!
Walking! Key West is a tiny island and it only takes about 20 minutes to get from one end to the other. There are also scooter and bike rentals everywhere, as well as Uber or Lyft. Another great option is the FREE Duval Loop, which runs every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. - midnight. Please see their website for more information: https://www.carfreekeywest.com/duval-loop-bus
It's Key West and we can't blame you. You're in luck! There are two places you can call to be nursed back to health in under an hour: The Hangover Hospital - http://www.hangoverkw.com/ IVs in the Keys - https://ivsinthekeys.com/ Yes, we are serious. And no, we won't judge.
If you have a question we have not yet answered, please feel free to include it with your RSVP or just ask!
