Makenzie and Cole, high school sweethearts who dated for two years, went their separate ways but reconnected eight years later. They picked up right where they left off, and their connection remained strong. Despite the distance, they made the long-distance relationship work and eventually lived together in the New York City area. Both of them decided it was time to move back home to Buffalo in May 2024. On July 11th, Cole proposed to Makenzie on a hike in Sedona, Arizona.
