We met at Michigan State University on Halloween weekend in 2016. Jake was dressed as Kid Rock and Phoebe was a lazy skeleton, it was super romantic we swear. We had been previously introduced via Facetime (shoutout Tyler), but just happened to be in the right place at the right time this weekend. We hit it off right away, and the rest is history!

After talking nonstop for a few months, Jake transferred to Dayton and we made things official! We spent the best 2.5 years together at Dayton, and then went from living across the street from one another, to living across the country for dental school and PA school. We have been mastering long distance ever since, and are so excited for this next adventure together.

Being the planner that she is, Phoebe planned her own birthday dinner with both of our families. While we were getting ready to leave "for dinner", Jake asked if we could get a picture outside. We walked down the (newly installed) dock on Lake Fenton, and he got down on one knee in front of the most perfect sunset! The answer was an easy "yes", and we celebrated our engagement with our closest friends and family. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Detroit!
