How We Met: Back in December of 2017, Kevin attended an Atlanta United game where he was one of a few "singles" in his group of friends. At the game, Kevin jokingly asked his friend, Emma El-Shami, when she was going to set him up with one of her girlfriends. Emma took the "joke" seriously and started searching through the contacts in her phone. She ran across Megan's name where she then reached out to Megan asking if she was willing to be set up with a friend of hers. Megan agreed and then waited 3 weeks for Kevin to make the first move in reaching out to her. The two went on a "blind" date to Superica where they shared their love for Tex Mex. This night was the start of forever for Kevin and Megan! <3 The Proposal: Kevin and Megan were celebrating 3 years since their first date in December of 2020. Kevin had came up with the idea of going to mass at Christ the King followed by brunch at Canoe. As the two drove to mass, Kevin was acting a bit off as he was holding his seatbelt off of his stomach saying it had hurt from "chugging a Truly seltzer" the night before (sure...). Following the service, Kevin went to the bathroom where Megan waited outside. Megan noticed that the church was clearing out and the janitor had started sanitizing the room. She texted Kevin, "Have you fallen in?" not knowing that Kevin was actually texting Megan's sister, mom and his mom to let them know that they were on their way to Canoe. As Kevin and Megan drove to Canoe, the two jammed out to some Christmas classics. After dropping the car off at valet, the hostess told them their table would be a minute and suggested they check go out the garden. As the two walked through the garden, Megan sang the lyrics "Oh fall on your knees" from O Holy Night. Kevin thought Megan was taking a jab at him and immediately responded "I'll get on my knee!" Kevin then proposed as the two of their families came running out of a nearby tent! The two celebrated the day with family and friends near and far.
