Kyle and Mollie's love story began on a warm summer evening when they were blindly set up by mutual friends in Scottsdale, AZ. However, Mollie and her friend (and matchmaker), Staci, decided the date would go smoothest if they met in a large group and Kyle didn't know anything about the plan. Because he was unaware he would meet his future wife that night, Kyle was late, making Mollie upset with him before he even knew she existed. However, when he finally arrived and introduced himself, sparks flew and they were inseparable for the rest of the evening. At the end of the night, the two exchanged phone numbers and their first kiss.
After meeting a few days before, Kyle and Mollie's first official date was an Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Atlanta Braves game in Phoenix (Don't worry, Kyle redeemed himself and was on-time). The two got to know a lot about each other during that game while bonding over ball-park peanuts & beers, but little did they know, that game foreshadowed the future of our relationship. One month later, Kyle dropped the bomb that he had plans to move back to Georgia, and fast forward a few months, Mollie found herself packing her life into a U-haul to join him on the adventure. In March of 2018, they drove across the country to continue their whirlwind romance in Atlanta, GA.
Kyle had been scheming for months to create a beautiful ring and pull off the perfect proposal. He enlisted the help of many of their friends - each playing a key role in the success of the evening. In the master plan, Kevin & Amy Bick told Mollie they were adopting a dog and wanted friends to meet them and their new pup for happy hour at Park Tavern, one of Kyle and Mollie's favorite restaurants in Atlanta. That day, Mollie was late leaving work so Kyle rushed her and Huckleberry out the door for the alleged plans. Just when Mollie thought Happy Hour was within reach after the long, rainy walk, Kyle insisted to take the long, scenic route instead of the obviously shorter, more convenient path. Suspicious, hungry, and dying to meet the Bick's new dog, she initially refused the idea and only complied after Kyle begged and pleaded. When they reached the Midtown Reflection on that long, scenic path, Kyle took a deep breath, got down on one knee, and asked the girl of his dreams to marry him. Mollie, of course, said yes and together they cried, kissed, laughed, and tried to keep Huckleberry from chasing after the ducks on the lake. After that magical moment, the two went back to Kyle's house for a celebration with their friends and family who helped make this day so special, followed by a quiet, romantic dinner overlooking the Atlanta skyline. One week later, Mollie's family visited Georgia for Thanksgiving, and the entire Jahnke-Hady clan helped celebrate the beginning of the rest of their lives together.
