We lived across the street from each other our senior year of college while attending Ohio University. Thanks to a few mutual friends living in each of our houses, Alyssa and her roommates ended up inviting Ted and his roommates to a party at their house on August 28, 2020. That night, we had our very first conversation, and the rest was truly history. We quickly became inseparable and spent the next three months getting to know each other and making memories. Finally, on November 14, 2020, Ted asked Alyssa to be his girlfriend in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where his fraternity was hosting their formal. After graduating, we navigated living in opposite sides of Cleveland and the challenges of post-college life, and through it all, our relationship only continued to grow stronger. In June of 2024, we finally moved into our home together with our fur baby Rey, who very quickly became the center of our world. (If you know us, you know we’re absolutely obsessed with her.) Fast forward to August 28, 2025, Ted asked Alyssa to spend the rest of her life with him on a beautiful trip to Charleston, South Carolina, unknowingly planning it exactly five years to the day of our first conversation. Now, we’re counting down the days until we say, “I do,” surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. We can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of forever together and continue building a life full of love, laughter, and memories.
