Micayla and Michael matched on Hinge in October of 2023. What started as a simple swipe, quickly turned into something neither of them could have planned for. Michael asked Micayla on their first date on October 28, 2023. They ended up sitting at the bar talking until closing time, while the calamari they ordered sat untouched! By the time the night ended, Micayla went home and confidently told her sister and friends that she had just met her husband. It looks like she was right! From there, life together became a collection of their favorite things - Movie dates, winery weekends on the North Fork, and time with friends and family. Michael, a URI football alumni, has continued his passion through his work as a coach. This has also become an important part of the life they now share. Micayla is still learning the rules of football, but go Giants! One of the best days of all came at Kontokosta Winery, one of the couple’s favorite spots, where Michael surprised Micayla with a proposal that made an already special place feel even more unforgettable! Since then, they’ve welcomed home their first puppy Simba, who runs the house! Exactly two years after their first date on October 28, 2025, Michael and Micayla closed on their first home together. With wedding festivities ahead, and a lifetime of love and memories - these two are just getting started!
