Papago Park

Easy walking trails, scenic red rock formations, and unbeatable sunset views—great for photos and low-key exploring. Take a hike around the red butte formations in Papago Park, including the iconic Hole-in-the-Rock Trail; cast a line in seven acres of stocked fishing lagoons; enjoy a round at Papago Golf Course; or access the nearby Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden.

Canyon Lake

Canyon Lake is a stunning desert lake just under an hour from Scottsdale, surrounded by dramatic canyon walls and crystal-blue water. Visitors can rent paddleboards, kayaks, or boats for a relaxing day exploring the coves, swimming, fishing or soaking up the Arizona sunshine.
