Is there a dress code?

What are the important travel dates?

Answer

We recommend at a minimum to stay from Wednesday, November 19th through Saturday, November 22nd if possible! However, we would love to have you in town for whatever works best for you. We will have events planned for everyone from Wednesday through Friday, but would also encourage you to explore the wonderful parts of Guatemala and extend your stay if possible. —————— Recomendamos, como mínimo, quedarse desde el miércoles 19 de noviembre hasta el sábado 22 de noviembre, si es posible. Sin embargo, nos encantaría que estuvieran en la ciudad el tiempo que mejor les acomode. When should I arrive and depart Guatemala?

We will have events for everyone on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (see "Schedule" tab for more details). We recommend arriving Tuesday, November 18th or Wednesday, November 19th during the day to assure you make it in time for the wedding. Tip — Book arrival flights to Guatemala City before 3pm. —————— Tendremos eventos para todos el miércoles, jueves y viernes (consulta la pestaña "Programa" para más detalles). Do I need to rent a car for transportation?

Answer

YES! We recommend you rent an SUV or full-size car regardless of your party size. The airport is roughly 1-3hrs from Antigua, Guatemala — depending on traffic —and we do not recommend you Uber or take a bus. ––––––– ¿NECESITO RENTAR UN AUTO PARA TRANSPORTARME? ¡SÍ! Te recomendamos rentar una SUV o un auto tamaño completo, sin importar cuántas personas viajen contigo. El aeropuerto está aproximadamente a 1-3 horas de Antigua, Guatemala, dependiendo del tráfico. No recomendamos que uses Uber o tomes un autobús.

Where is the wedding venue located?

Answer

The wedding venue is located in the city of San Gaspar Vivar, which is about 10-15 minutes away from downtown Antigua, Guatemala. The wedding venue is called "CONCEPTIO", and can be found on the map app called "WAZE". Simply type in "Conceptio" on the WAZE app or when ordering an Uber for directions. –––––– DONDE ESTA UBICADO EL LUGAR DE LA BODA? El lugar de la boda está en la ciudad de San Gaspar Vivar, que se encuentra a unos 10-15 minutos del centro de Antigua, Guatemala. El lugar de la boda se llama "CONCEPTIO", y lo puedes encontrar en la aplicación de mapas llamada "WAZE". Simplemente escribe "Conceptio" en la aplicación WAZE o al pedir un Uber para obtener indicaciones.

What happens if I do not RSVP on time?

We kindly ask that you RSVP by the deadline of July 1, 2025. After this date, we will mark you as not attending. Although you will be deeply missed, we do have to provide a total guest count to the venue—we hope you understand. –––––– ¿QUÉ PASA SI NO CONFIRMO MI ASISTENCIA (RSVP) A TIEMPO? We've decided to make our guest list as intimate as possible, as a result, our wedding is invite-only. If you received a plus-one, they will appear on your RSVP. We appreciate your understanding. Will transportation be provided to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

The wedding venue — Conceptio — has a designated parking lot. You will leave your vehicles there and a shuttle will take you to and from the venue at no cost.| To clarify, shuttles WILL NOT pick you up from your hotel or Airbnb. You will have to drive to the parking lot. –––––– ¿HABRÁ TRANSPORTE AL LUGAR DE LA BODA? El lugar de la boda, Conceptio, cuenta con un estacionamiento designado. Dejarás tu vehículo ahí y un transporte te llevará al lugar del evento y de regreso sin costo. Para aclarar, los transportes NO te recogerán en tu hotel o Airbnb. Tendrás que conducir hasta el estacionamiento.

What is the local currency?

Answer

Quetzals (GTQ). While many places in Antigua accept credit/debit cards, it's a good idea to have some cash on hand for taxis "Tuk-Tuks" and local markets. You can also request Quetzals from your bank before your trip to make things easier. We don’t recommend exchanging money at the airport since the rates aren’t great. You can exchange dollars to quetzals in Antigua, Guatemala. WHERE TO EXCHANGE MONEY IN ANTIGUA: • Banks – Major banks like Banco Industrial, Banrural, and BAC offer currency exchange services. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: • A valid passport – Banks usually require this for currency exchange. • Clean, undamaged U.S. bills – Banks and exchange offices may reject torn or heavily marked bills. (They are VERY strict about damaged bills.) • Debit or credit card (for ATM withdrawals) – Check with your bank for foreign transaction fees before using an ATM. –––––– ¿CUÁL ES LA MONEDA LOCAL? Quetzales (GTQ). Aunque muchos lugares en Antigua aceptan tarjetas de crédito/débito, es recomendable llevar dinero en efectivo para taxis ("Tuk-Tuks") y mercados locales. También puedes solicitar Quetzales en tu banco antes de tu viaje para mayor comodidad. Sí, puedes cambiar dólares por quetzales en Antigua. ¿Dónde cambiar dinero en Antigua? • Bancos – Bancos principales como Banco Industrial, Banrural y BAC ofrecen servicio de cambio de divisas. ¿Qué necesitas? • Pasaporte válido – Los bancos suelen requerirlo para realizar el cambio de divisas. • Billetes de dólar en buen estado – Los bancos y casas de cambio rechazan billetes rotos, marcados o dañados. (Son MUY estrictos con esto). • Tarjeta de débito o crédito (para cajeros automáticos) – Consulta con tu banco sobre posibles cargos por transacciones en el extranjero antes de usar un cajero.
