Although we’d love to have as many guests as possible stay with us at Chileno Bay, we understand if you’d prefer to stay at an Airbnb or at another resort. Please just be mindful that you’ll need to figure out transportation to and from the wedding events if you're staying somewhere not listed on our wedding website.
Chileno Bay has a 3-night minimum and does not allow for departures on Saturdays. Our suggestion would be to fly in Thursday afternoon so that you can attend the Welcome Event and depart Sunday. If you wish to arrive early or extend your stay to explore Los Cabos, special room rates (see Travel section) are available 3 days before and 3 days after October 15th.
While taxis & Ubers are available and safe in Cabo, they can be expensive and sometimes tough to come by. Taxis will always be onsite or just outside the Chileno premises while Ubers will need to be called and commute to your location. Both will always be checked at the security gate of Chileno prior to entry. Generally speaking, Taxis will be more expensive. We would certainly recommend utilizing the shuttle page mentioned on our Transportation/Travel page. Should you choose to stay offsite, you will be responsible for finding your own transportation, so we'd encourage booking shuttle services through our partner Impala listed on the Travel / Transportation page.
Beginning at the airport, anti COVID sanitary protocols are in place while health officials are conducting passengers screenings upon entry. If you are arriving early and plan on attending a restaurant, do not worry. All restaurants have reopened but not before clearing the state health authorities evaluation while also incorporating new operation protocols. We suggest you make a reservation in advance as capacities are regulated.
Due to COVID, the government is backed up in issuing passports. Please confirm far in advance that your passport is not due to expire prior to the wedding date. If so, please submit renewal requests with ample time. A valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. For entry within the country, your passport must be valid for six months after your final day of travel. For more information or to obtain/update a passport, please copy and paste the following link into your browser: - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html
We’re going with a “black tie beach” theme — ladies think long but flowy dresses or short cocktail dresses or formal jumpers that are breathable as it is still Cabo after all! Fellas think a breathable suit, but more on the formal side (blacks, blues and greys). Tuxes and gowns are welcome, but not required.
Hotel amenities offered to all wedding guests include: A Welcome "Chilenito" beverage upon arrival, water and sodas in each guest room on a complimentary basis - refreshed and restocked once a day, internet service throughout the resort, valet parking and 10% discount at The Spa.
Although we love all of your little ones, we are asking for an adult only celebration. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
No. Because we are having a smaller and more intimate wedding, we chose the most special people in our lives to come. Unfortunately, that does not leave room for any extra guests.
No, all wedding guests will be on our guest list for both the Welcome Event on Thursday and the Wedding on Friday as you're coming through the Security gates into Chileno Bay. Unfortunately, the pool party on Saturday is only for guests staying at Chileno Bay.
Due to the regulation that all travelers must get a negative COVID test within 72 hours before returning back to the United States, all of our guests need to make accommodations for getting a test. If you're staying at Chileno Bay, there is a nurse on-site who can conduct the test for $50/person. It's recommended to make an appointment ahead of time by calling the resort, but you can also get an appointment when you arrive for check-in. There are no COVID test appointments available on Sundays. If you are staying somewhere other than Chileno Bay, please contact your resort for information on COVID test appointments. Lastly, there are also at-home COVID tests you can bring with you to Cabo to conduct yourself, the permitted at-home tests are between $30-60 and require that you book a virtual appointment with a nurse for proof of test. So, our recommendation is to just work with the resort to get the test done for convenience.
