Our love story has unique twists & turns based on whose eyes you see it through, so we wanted to give you a glimpse into each version. Each story has its own path, but both converge into our wild journey of love.
Spring 2017 I had just moved to California and was immersed in my dream job at the 49ers. Unknown to me at the time, my future husband was working in that very stadium. Summer 2017 Fate brought us together again at a country concert but decided it wasn't quite time for us to meet. Vin & I mingled in the same group all night but never spoke. There is even a picture to prove it! Fall 2017 Finally, fate gave in. After a visit home to North Carolina, my dear friend Nicola mentioned a new dating app I had to try. Weeks into swiping, I came across a strikingly handsome man, Vinnie C. After reading through his profile, giggling with excitement and swooning over the photo in a cowboy hat, I swiped right. On November 3rd we went on our first date and by December 13th Vinnie asked me to be his girlfriend. Spring 2018 On our way back from a weekend in Tahoe, I was overwhelmed with butterflies because I knew I was head over heels for Vinnie & finally wanted to tell him. After pulling over to take a photo, hand in hand, with snow falling, I told Vinnie I was in love with him. To Infinity When I think back on our love story, I laugh about all the picture perfect ways Vinnie and I "could" or "should" have met because in the end our story created a life more perfect than I could have ever dreamed. three hand squeezes, Les
Spring 2017 It all started when I saw Leslie working at the Levis Stadium from the tunnel near my office, but not having the confidence to actually go and talk to her as I was leaving that job in less than a week (this still hurts admitting to you all). Fall 2017 A few months later, I swiped right in a dating app on this beautiful, tan, sports loving girl that I recognized with all the 49ers garb on...I thought, “couldn’t be!”. With my luck, and after learning that she was from the East Coast, I thought being in California was going to be a short term thing. After our first date at a sports bar and our second date, 3 days later, to a country concert, I knew there was something special about this girl. Because of that, I wasn’t willing to give up. Winter 2017 Little did I know, two weeks into dating, Leslie flew to San Antonio for an interview with the San Antonio Spurs which she ended up receiving an offer from. After hearing the news, I told her to follow her dreams and take the job, but most importantly to follow her heart and do what was in her best interest. The next day, to my surprise, she told me she turned the job down and was staying in California a bit longer and that’s when I knew...To this day, I’m pretty sure she stayed in California for me and just won’t admit it. But hey, who's the lucky one now? -Vin
Over the years we have driven the distance to see each other, eaten too much popcorn & Mexican food, traveled internationally, got a cat (love ya, Jett man), moved our lil' family to Texas, acquired a puppy (little boy, Sy guy) and got engaged! Now, we are excited to celebrate the beginning of a new story with our dearest family & friends. Cheers to the next chapter! All our love, L & V
