FAQs

Question

Is the venue and hotel close to the airport?

Answer

Yes, the Omni Severin Hotel is 15-20 minutes from the airport. For convenience, the airport offers taxis, as well as Uber and Lyft.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 3:50 PM so you have time to get settled. The bridal party will begin walking down the aisle at 4:00 PM sharp. The bride will know if you’re late ;)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want our guests to feel comfortable! November weather can be unpredictable — sometimes chilly, sometimes more like a warm fall day — so please dress in whatever will keep you comfortable. Formal preferred!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although our wedding will be primarily an adults-only event, we would love traveling family and friends to bring their children along. Please reach out to either Luke or Courtney for more details.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the Omni to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is just a short 0.1-mile walk from the Omni Severin Hotel. We will provide transportation for the wedding party, grandparents, and any guests who may need assistance. If you anticipate assistance, please reach out to either the Bride or Groom for further assistance.

Question

Hotel Blocks

Answer

We have a hotel block at the Omni, which can be accessed here: https://bookings.omnihotels.com/event/indianapolis-severin/thompson-carlson-in-house-wedding-room-b *Important Note: Deadline to purchase a room block for the wedding is October 12, 2026.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! The Omni offers valet parking for guests. There is also plenty of street parking and several covered garages throughout downtown, all within a short walk of the hotel.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We looked into major events happening around our wedding weekend, and the only one potentially relevant is the annual Monon Bell game between DePauw and Wabash. As of now, no venue has been confirmed FOR THE MONON BELL GAME — so it’s unlikely to impact downtown traffic, parking or hotel availability. If that changes, we’ll update you all. Otherwise, everything should be smooth sailing!
