Our Story

Their story really began in 1991, they just didn't know it.
That was the year Chase moved into Kate's neighborhood in Erie, PA. If you were to draw a straight line across rooftops, only two houses separated their childhood homes. But they never knew each other. They went to different schools and Kate relocated six years later. Chase went on to know many of the same people Kate knew, including her cousin Megan.
In 2017, Chase and Megan both attended an Erie wedding. Megan discovered Chase now lived in DC and suggested that he meet her cousin Kate. Two weeks later, they had their first date at a Washington Nationals game. Then, about three months later, while celebrating New Year's Eve together, Kate - after a few drinks, of course - leaned over to Chase and told him she was going to marry him. That came true when on November 16, 2018 he asked Kate to marry him.
Their story continues and a new chapter begins when they tie the knot in Washington, DC on September 7, 2019.
