a day to remember

We met on February 28th, 2023 somehow in the middle of carline chaos. I was the frazzled teacher trying to keep dismissal under control, and Jack was the calm, collected police officer assigned to school duty (though he kept showing up just to see me). That ordinary Tuesday turned into the most extraordinary beginning. Our first date was at Funky Buddha Brewery, where over good drinks and even better conversation, we quickly realized we had way more in common than we ever expected. From our mutual love of McDonald’s runs to binge-watching reality TV, trading horror movie favorites, and even battling it out in Magic the Gathering games, it was clear this was something special. Exactly two years later, on February 28th, 2025, Jack brought it all full circle by proposing in my classroom after dismissal right where it all began. As he stood there with the same calm confidence that first caught my eye, he said his life changed in that very spot... so it was only right to change ours together in the same place. Now here we are, writing the next chapter of our love story - and we can’t wait to celebrate it with all of you!
