FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1st at the very latest. If you know for sure one way or the other before that, letting us know early will help with planning!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive to the venue about 30 minutes before the ceremony is planned to start to give ample time for parking and walking down to the ceremony site.

Question

What's the food situation?

Answer

We’ll be providing dinner (around 7 pm) and drinks. Dinner will include dairy-free and gluten-free options. If you have very specific dietary needs or picky eaters in your family, we encourage you to bring any snacks or special drinks that help you feel comfortable and keep the kiddos happy. Our venue does not have any restrictions around outside food & bev, so bring anything you like- heck, even a cooler with your favorite kombucha or specialty beer, if that will make it a more pleasant experience for you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! The property is great for exploring. If you aren't staying on site, but want to come earlier in the day to take advantage of access to the Toe River for fishing or water play, just let us know! It is a bit of a hike and not accessible by car just FYI.

Question

Do I need to pay to camp?

Answer

Nope! We are renting full, private access to the venue from Friday to Monday, which covers any associated cost to camp.

Question

What's the rideshare situation?

Answer

While we are so excited to get married in a beautiful, remote location, it does mean that rideshare options are limited. From the research we've done, there are some Uber/Lyft drivers in the area, but if you don't have a designated driver in your party, please be prepared that you may have longer than normal waits for rideshare. You may want to consider scheduling a ride in advance. Worst case scenario, you hang with the campers at the after party until you sober up enough to drive!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We recommend dressing up enough to feel celebratory, but comfy enough to wander the land. Wear something that reflects the specialness of the day, and that you can dance, explore, and play in! Our ceremony and reception will both take place at the Wild Human Preserve in Green Mountain, North Carolina. The ceremony will be held outdoors in a covered seating area. Afterward, guests will take a short walk (about 5-10 min) to the reception space, which will be indoors. Depending on the weather forecast, you may want to bring an umbrella or rain jacket for the walk!
