Hailey and David first met in 2017 when David’s mom introduced them at a Rivers Academy open house. They quickly became friends and, while attending school together, both secretly had crushes on each other. In 2019, Hailey left Rivers, but the two stayed in touch occasionally over the years that followed. In the summer of 2024, their paths crossed again in an unexpected way. Hailey was working at Pine Cove Chimney Point when one of David’s mentors, Webb, visited camp with his family. After realizing they both knew David, Webb casually mentioned to Hailey that David was single. A few weeks after camp ended, Hailey reached out to David, and he offered to give her a golf lesson. That lesson turned into a reconnection, and they’ve been together ever since. By the time they say “I do,” Hailey and David will have been together for a little over two years. It has been a sweet gift of God’s grace to see how He has intentionally written their story.
