We’re getting married!

One summer day in 2018, Amanda was relaxing in Destin, Florida, while Tyler was hanging out with his buddies. Feeling bold, he decided to send Amanda a DM on Instagram that read, “What’s a handsome guy like me doing without your Snapchat?” Amanda waited until the next day to reply, just to build a little suspense. Eventually, she shared her Snapchat, and from that moment on, we messaged every single day that summer. We hadn’t met in person or gone on a date yet, but something special was already starting. That all changed on September 1, 2018, when we finally met in Clemson, where Tyler was currently a freshman student. It was the first Clemson gameday of the 2018 season. Amanda attended a pregame tailgate at the apartment of our groomsmen, Jonah and James and our good friend, Stuart, and that's where our paths crossed for the first time. From Amanda’s perspective, it was love at first sight—I always say it felt like one of those cartoons where the heart eyes pop right out of your head! From that moment on, we were inseparable. Just a few weeks later, we had our first official date. On December 7, 2018, we went out for a romantic Italian dinner and then drove through the Christmas lights in Anderson, something we’ve done together every year since. That same night, in the Holmes dorm, Tyler asked Amanda to be his girlfriend... and that’s when our love story truly began. Amanda followed Tyler to Clemson, and we shared three incredible years together in our favorite place. Our journey took us from Clemson students, to long-distance with Tyler in Atlanta, then back to Greenville where we moved into our first apartment, and now, our first home. On October 11, 2024, Tyler proposed on the Dikes of Clemson, a place filled with memories from our days as students and beyond. He completely surprised Amanda (which is not an easy task to do) with the sweetest message asking her to marry him and spend the rest of our lives together! Now, seven years later, we’ve built the most beautiful life together, filled with love, laughter, and our amazing dog, Cash. We are so excited for the future, and we’re incredibly proud of the little family we've made!
