Parker and Molly met the fall semester of their sophomore year at Clemson University at a Clemson football tailgate. They became friends and continued to see each other occasionally when their friends would meet up for weekends by the water, downtown or at football tailgates. They remained friends throughout their time at Clemson. During their senior year, Parker and Molly's relationship became more flirty than friendly. That Fall they both graduated and went their separate ways. Shortly after graduation, they spent the weekend at Lake Murray with their friends for a concert on the lake. This weekend they continued their usual flirtatiousness. At the end of the weekend, not knowing the next time they may see each other, they made plans to see each other again. This time, just the two of them. From this weekend on they were inseparable. Flash forward two years later, Molly was finishing her time in graduate school in Boone, North Carolina and Parker was beginning his career with The Sourcing Group in Columbia, SC. Upon graduation, Molly decided to take a job in Chapin, SC to finally be closer to one another after three long years of long distance. After Molly moving to Columbia in January of 2024, Parker proposed in November. It was an emotional week, as Molly's father, Matt, had tried to throw her off by leading her to believe Parker had never mentioned the idea of marriage to him. Needless to say, come that Saturday, it was the surprise of a lifetime when Parker proposed before a "dinner date" at the Riverwalk in Cayce, SC a few miles away from their future home.
