Corktown
It’s almost inevitable that in Detroit, when there’s a celebration to be had, it’s going to take place in Corktown. It’s where sports fans flock to for Opening Day, the honorary Irish go for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It’s where local bands got their starts, and where raucous drinkers can be seen clinking pints — whether in an old-school pub, a swanky cocktail spot, or a chill wine bar.
Greektown
Greektown is a commercial and entertainment district in Detroit, Michigan, located just northeast of the heart of downtown, along Monroe Avenue between Brush and St. Antoine streets. This area is filled with restaurants and bars--and is known for it's night life! It has a station by that name on the city's elevated downtown transit system known as the Detroit People Mover. Greektown is situated between the Renaissance Center, Comerica Park, and Ford Field.
Eastern Market
The Eastern Market area is named for the 19th-century market operating here, with vendors selling everything from tacos to colorful produce every Saturday. Sundays see the space packed with local jewelers and artists. Hip cafes and places serving classic Coney Island hot dogs dot the district whose warehouses are being revitalized with murals. There is live jazz and Motown music at relaxed Bert’s Warehouse Theatre

Belle Isle
Belle Isle Park is a 2.5-mile-long, 982-acre island park, located in the international waters of the Detroit River. Inspired by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted’s design in the 1880s, the park was created to provide an urban oasis in Detroit. Affectionately named the “Jewel of Detroit”, Belle Isle has significant natural, architectural, and cultural resources. Almost one third of the island is a natural wooded area that is home to a wide variety of small animals and birds. The park features a number of historic public landmarks including the Belle Isle Aquarium, Belle Isle Casino, Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, Dossin Great Lakes Museum, and the James Scott Memorial Fountain.

Detroit Historical Museum
The Motor City Exhibition, where visitors see how a Cadillac is assembled, is just one of the many interesting displays at this museum dedicated to telling the story of Detroit.
Campus Martius Park
Located in the heart of downtown, Campus Martius Park is Detroit’s official gathering place and award-winning signature public space. The 2.5-acre park is a year-round outdoor venue with gardens, performance stages, food trucks, and an ice rink in the winter.
