Catch of a Lifetime

We met at a Fajita Monday! A ministry Mason and some friends started years ago to create community and connection in Waco. We definitely connected! But just as friends.. ;) It wasn’t until around October that we really got to talkin and had our first hang out at a small bonfire in Mason’s backyard. That’s when the sparks really flew! As friends ;)

Catherine: While visiting Mason’s deer lease in Graham Texas, we set out for an evening bow hunt. After sitting in camo and leafy wear for some time waiting for our shot, Mason made the call for us to pack up and head out. A huge storm was visibly moving in FAST. It started to slightly rain as we began our jog back to the car. “Wait! Get down!” Mason hushed me and threw his binoculars into my hands, kneeling us to the ground. “Look! A big buck!” I stared through the binoculars desperately trying to see the big 10 we were hoping we’d see. “I don’t see it!” He kept telling me to look harder, then swiftly changed the view point “oh my gosh, look at the sunset!” Which was to our far left. “Wow! How pretty!” I said. I turned towards him when he started to say, “Well, I’m sorry you didn’t see the big buck. But I see you..” it took me a few seconds. He always says pretty things to me. But when I realized he was on one knee and making intense eye contact while telling me how much he never wanted us to stop adventuring together.. I put the pieces together. He was proposing! “Of course!” I said when he asked, “Catherine, will you marry me?” I cried and we hugged and it was the most full my heart had ever felt. I couldn’t stop cry-laughing out of pure joy! The thunder picked up as did the lightening and it began to POUR! We lived in the moment for as long as we could before we HAD to get off of the hill we were on! We celebrated getting through the mud and black out rain at a Mexican restaurant in town after changing out of our muddy and soaked clothes. I love you Mason Frucci! I can’t wait for our crazy adventures to keep getting better!
