Question

Are the weekend activities mandatory?

Answer

Not at all! We’ll have a few optional activities throughout the weekend for guests arriving early, but everything is completely optional.

Question

What’s the weather like in Charleston in August?

Answer

Hot, humid, and sunny! Expect temperatures in the high 80s/90s, so stay hydrated and dress accordingly.

Question

Is there transportation provided?

Answer

We recommend using Uber or Lyft throughout the weekend, as downtown Charleston is very easy to navigate.

Question

What does “Formal Garden Party” attire mean?

Answer

Think elevated, colorful, and Charleston in the summer midi/maxi dresses, florals, light fabrics, linen suits, and pastel tones are all encouraged. Black tie is not required, but we’d love for guests to lean into the festive garden party atmosphere!

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Charleston International Airport (CHS), which is about a 20–25 minute drive from downtown Charleston and the wedding weekend events.

Question

What should I do around Charleston?

Answer

Charleston is one of our favorite cities, and there’s so much to explore! We recommend strolling down King Street for shopping and cocktails, walking along The Battery and Rainbow Row, grabbing brunch, spending time by the water, and taking advantage of all the amazing restaurants and rooftop bars downtown.

Question

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Answer

Absolutely! We’re happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies. If you do need accommodations, please let Alyssa or Adam know in advance so we can be sure everything is arranged accordingly.

Question

Can gifts be shipped directly?

Answer

Yes! Gifts can absolutely be shipped directly to us through our registry, and we truly appreciate your generosity and celebrating with us.
