Spend the day walking around downtown Charleston! Needless to say, there is SO much to see. We would recommend walking along King Street (arguably Charleston's most iconic street), which is lined with countless shops and restaurants. There are several cute side streets surrounding King, so don't be afraid to take a few detours!

There are three main beaches in the Charleston area. Ubers/Lyfts are readily available, but if you plan to spend multiple days going to and from the beach, renting a car would be a great option! - Sullivan's Island Beach (where we got engaged!): located on Sullivan's Island, about 25 minutes from downtown. It is residential and quiet, tucked behind beautiful beach homes and a few amazing restaurants. Be sure to check out Sullivan's Fish Camp, The Obstinate Daughter, The Longboard, or Poe's Tavern for a bite to eat! - Folly Beach: located about 30 minutes from downtown. Think CUTE, quintessential beach town. This beach attracts more tourists and has a very fun vibe. If you're looking for a casual lunch at an open air burger joint or a dive bar, this beach town is for you. - Isle of Palms Beach: located about 30 minutes from downtown. It has a sprawling, beautiful beach and a few small hotels. It is an attractive vacation destination with many open air restaurants, shops, and dive bars.
Located about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston across the Ravenel Bridge, Shem Creek is a waterway lined with several fun, casual, open air restaurants and bars. It is the perfect place to grab lunch or happy hour and watch the boats go by! You can't go wrong, but we love Saltwater Cowboys and Red's!
